We have agreed a partnership with The UK Centre for Event Management, based at Leeds Beckett University to research what the Exhibition Industry’s top 20 topics/influences that will shape the industry by 2025 will look like.

Exhibitions 20:25 – Research

The UK Centre for Events Management has a global reputation for events management education, international research and for supporting a generation of alumni working all over the world in a wide range of careers since 1996.


We’re delighted to be working with the university as this will give the statistical analysis additional rigour and credibility to ensure we’re drawing the most accurate conclusions. However, that did cause a slight delay as the team at UKCEM quite rightly challenged us to define the focus and scope for the research, along with ensuring the survey went through sufficient pilot stages to refine it.  That being done, we’re delighted to say the on-line element of the survey is now open and ready for completion!

Your participation is completely voluntary. No one, apart from the research team will have access to any personal information you share via this questionnaire.

Any information you provide through completing this questionnaire / survey will be held securely and will be anonymised. This research will culminate in a white paper due to be launched towards the autumn of 2020 in the first instance, with the potential for follow up research on specific topics by 2021.

By submitting your responses to this survey, you are giving consent for the information you provide to be used in the research project named above.

It should take about 5-10 minutes to complete and we really do appreciate your time and your honesty.  As a reminder, the aim of the survey is to better understand how those working and participating in the exhibitions sector see it evolving over the next 5 years, in order to inform exhibitors how to get the best return on their investment.

The timeline for the research is currently:

24th Feb – 9th April  –  On-Line Survey Open

10th-24th April – Statistical analysis of quantitative results

27th April – 29th May – Completion of telephone interviews

1st – 30th June – Analysis of qualitative interviews

July – August – Triangulation and further analysis of results

From September onwards  – Release of Highlights and White Papers  

Closer to the time we will bring you further details about where and how we will be sharing the results. We are inviting participants from across the globe and industry, from a variety of sectors and all levels of seniority so we are hoping to get a clear 360 degree view of the industry and where it’s headed over the next 5 years.
