Plus in our main event we’re chatting to Josh Rifkin, CEO of Flatworks Displays based in San Diego.  In his years’ of exhibiting Josh had grown weary of waiting at the end of US shows for packing cases for breakdown, and frustrated at the rising labour costs flatworks displaysincurred while building and dismantling stands (or booths if you’re on the other side of the “pond”!) especially in the States.  So he’s created a simple, effective and eco-friendly stand design that could be the perfect solution for small and medium sized exhibitors across the world.

Episode 15 – Pete Gillett – Marketpoint & Zuant

Because lead capture is the heartbeat of your exhibition, in episode 15 we asked industry expert Pete Gillett to share his enthusiasm for automated lead capture, management systems and its associated technology. Pete has been a  Pioneer in Database Marketing since the late ’70s and was part of the team that launched the world’s first web-based CRM system for Lucent Technologies in 1997 and then launched the first CRM applications for iPad in 2010.

Pete’s other achievements include:

  • Innovations across industries mixing business with sport. Founded Personal Public Address Ltd., which set-up Radio Wimbledon, Radio Silverstone and Radio Le Mans, all of which continue today.
  • Winner of British Plastic Federation’s Award for Design and Innovation.
  • Finalist in BBC Tomorrow’s World’s Prince of Wales Competition for Industrial Design & Production.

So in this episode we have a brief run down on the highs and lows of CES 2019 and what unexpected bit of kit won ‘Best in Show’!

Our guest this time around is Gabriela Castro Fontoura from Sunny Sky Solutions. Gaby explains the vast opportunities to be had in Latin America and gives advice that is useful to anyone considering exhibiting and exporting to anywhere in the world and not just in this region. However, you do need to understand the cultural and laid back attitude when doing business in the region which having lived and worked in the UK (Skipton, North Yorks) for 13 years meant that she too had to initially readjust on her return to Uruguay.
